I needed a new lamp that covered more area with its light. This lamp met that need nicely. My old lamp also had a wireless charger pad but it quit charging. Though I had trouble at first getting that to work on this lamp it seems to be charging fine now. It also has a large USB port in the back that I charge my digital watch on and a hook of sorts that I hang my analog watch. When I was considering buying this lamp I couln't tell for sure how it was powered.but now know it is via a USB-C port. I would have preferred A/C but this works fine as long as it is close to my computer. It also has a clock and an alarm.
