Finally, a decent brand of men's socks - Marino. I used to swear by Gold Toe and have at least one pair that is literally 20 years old and still perfectly wearable; but a bunch of years ago Gold Toe switched their manufacturing to a different factory and production method, and started producing cheaply made, short-lived socks. Maybe they have improved again but I have not bothered buying a pair since then. After reading endless reviews I went with a 10 pack of Marino because I love the vibrant colors and patterns and people were describing them as durable and fitting well. I have found those positive reviews to be accurate. I wear a size 10 to 10 and 1/2 shoe, and I find that the same size of Merino socks fits adequately, if just a tad bit tight, but still acceptable. The current package for this review was a pack of five pair, so obviously I like them well enough to go back for more. I bought this pack one size up so I guess size 12 - 14 or whatever it is. They were a tad bit large but after a washing in cool water and a full dry cycle, they shrunk a little bit and are now very comfortable. You might consider actually buying a size up. I have pretty skinny calves and the size up are more comfortable around my calves than the size down. I've had the 10 pack for a number of months now. They have gone through multiple washings and are holding up well. The colors remain vibrant, they don't seem to be shedding fabric in the form of lint, the elastic is still nice and flexible. The five pack seems identical in quality. Now if only Marina will stick with the same manufacturing materials, processes, and factory, I will have finally found a decent go-to brand.

It's weird that the company would choose to be called Merino, yet sell cotton socks. It's like opening up a restaurant called Smokehouse Joe's that only sells seafood. Regardless, the socks themselves are of excellent quality. Well constructed. Thicker than the thin traditional dress socks, but much thinner than the usual crew socks or athletic socks. It's a nice hybrid and I prefer these to my other dress socks. The colors and patterns are nice as well. The socks feel soft and fit well. The elastic has not stretched out or worn out despite multiple wearings. We'll see about their durability, but so far I've been quite happy with them. Also, it comes packaged in a fancy box, rolled up in fancy paper, and it brought a little bit of flair for the evening as I was opening up my Amazon box. It was like the iPhone packaging of socks.

I am always skeptical about buying clothing or apparel online. I came across these socks and thought, wow! great price, awesome looking packaging- what do I have to loose? So I bought a pair and was immediately impressed with packaging. When I tried them on I thought these feel amazing. I was expecting a slightly cheaper quality in cotton or material, but there are no short cuts here in satisfaction. I would recommend a pair for yourself or as a gift. As a matter of fact, I ordered a pair for my brother and he loved them as well and was impressed that such quality was found on Amazon. Do yourself a favor and try a pair, your feet might just love them.

I truly love almost everything about these socks. First of all... I'm a woman, but I have fairly large feet, so most women's socks pull tight on my toes. So I decided to try some men's socks, and these comes in different sizes so I got the smaller size... and they fit perfectly. Although a 'dress' sock they are not overly thin. They are extremely good quality, tall enough to go to mid-calf (and stay there all day without slipping down). My only complaint is that in the pictures the ones I got looked like mainly blues with some red... but the red turned out to be orange. I'm not crazy about orange, but I love these socks so much that I'll live with the color (and will probably buy some more soon). If you want a truly comfortable, warm, dress sock, you can NOT beat these. Quality all the way!

I bought these for my husband, he travels a lot and his socks just don't hold up well to all the walking in airports and job sites. So I saw these and bought them-- first thing he said, was these were the most comfortable socks he has ever owned... I've bought this man-- a lot of sock over the years A LOT!!! and never once has he said this to me. soft inside, no pinch on the toes or heel.. so I will be buying him more.. plus he likes the styles and designs. Money well spent.

I have yet to try these on but as far as appearances good, socks feel thicc and look sharp! Came in a clean box that enstill confidence in the purchased product. So far the only thing I have to mention is that the description in the comments say it’s mostly cotton and 20% synthetic, the label on the under side of the box says the same, but the tiny cardboard fold inside the box says it’s 100% cotton. Minor discrepancy with that. I am going to believe the former but it’d be cool if it were 100% cotton (not enough to dock a star) I also love that these are a longer than some of your average dress socks. If you dry the shorter, tighter kind, it is good luck to getting them to fix nicely. Would recommend/purchase again!!

These days with everyone dressing a bit more casual, it is fun to throw in some color with these socks. Great colors and patterns that go with everything! These are Premium quality dress socks - very soft, comfortable material - they come about mid calf with comfortable elasticity - and they launder great too! Like so much that I bought my husband another different color set!

I have been buying the Marino socks for years now. I wear them with jeans, chinos and biz casual. They are more fun than boring navy, black or gray men’s socks. The comfort is great. The quality is top-notch. I really haven’t worn out a pair even after a couple of years of wearing. Highly recommend this brand for socks and their ratcheting belts.

Rarely do I find nice looking socks that are also comfortable with any shoes. I selected these based on the stripe pattern and colors offered, not knowing anything about the brand. They arrive in a very elegant box, which was not needed but it did quickly confirm that this company creates a very unique product. These are not your dads gold toe 9-5 socks. These are a comfortable and stylish accessory to my wardrobe. For the first time in a long time, I will throw out my older pair of dress socks and order two more sets of Marino socks. They are worth every penny, like a great pair of slacks that feel right from the waist to the hem line, these socks feel great from the toes to the calf.

I started this review and then tried to clear it but won't allow me to do that so without still uploading it.So I'll write what I know. It's a Christmas gift so I hope they fit he wears a size 15shoes so fingers crossed, but they are beautiful in person and packaged so nicely. Like a pack of fancy 50.00 socks. I hope he likes them, I do.
